Robin Meade is the poster child for confidence and self-assurance. But the anchor of Morning Express with Robin Meade wasn’t always that way. In fact, there was a period in her career when she was plagued with anxiety and panic attacks. In MORNING SUNSHINE, she tells how she overcame her fear of public speaking to go on and achieve her dream of becoming a news anchor.
Robin Meade offers her own tried-and-true four-step approach to building confidence. Her trademark warm, personal style translates from the screen to the page in this book, which will give readers even more insight into the young woman who came out of nowhere to become one of the most popular news anchors on television today.
About the Author:
Millions of viewers each week tune into HLN morning show star Robin Meade and her show, Morning Express with Robin Meade, which airs weekdays from 6 am to 10 am. Her extraordinary, fun personality has attracted an enthusiastic following, including Stephen King, who devoted an entire Entertainment Weekly column to her.
My Review:
Would I recommend this book to my friends? – YES
Who would like this book? – Any woman who has ever doubted her own abilities.
What did I like best? – Several things. I liked the larger print
– I didn’t have to put on my glasses. LOL –
This book was easy to pick up, read a section..then put it down and mull over the advice. After many of her points (and there are several in each chapter), Robin lists a What I’ve Learned and a Confidence Booster. At the end of each chapter, she has The Takeaway (what lesson you can take from the chapter) and a Robin’s Ramblings (a piece of advise, or quote from another person).
Favorite Line – There were so many, but I’m quoting three: 1.)”Respect is higher on the ladder of confidence than just being liked.” 2.) “Your challenges today are very likely the struggles that help you develop strength and gain success tomorrow. In other words, we need to be grateful for things that suck now!” 3.)”The present is where you are most aware of the things happening around you, and where you’re most in tune with yourself. the present is where you can get creative and surprise yourself with the things you can do.”
Parting thoughts – Morning Sunshine! How To Radiate Confidence And Feel It Too – Does exactly that! Written with honesty, humor and warmth. I enjoyed every single page.
