Nutrisystem Check In-Week 9
I’m plugging along. I haven’t gotten a new scale yet, but LOL, when I play the “step on the scale a dozen times” game, the numbers have been consistantly lower! My guess is, that I’ve lost around 12 lbs. (Knock on wood!). That may not seem like much, but that’s the equivalent of:
48 sticks of butter or 1 Gallon of milk plus 16 sticks of butter or almost 3 – 2 liter bottles of soda!
Who knows, maybe when I get to the doctor’s office I’ll find out that I’m doing even better.
I feel better, my clothes fit better – what more could I ask!
Today, I want to point out how easy Nutrisytem makes “dieting on the go”.
If you want to brown bag it for lunch, just choose pantry stable lunch selections. If you need to travel for business – you can take all your meals along!
Here are a few illustrations:
These foods above, require no refrigeration and are very portable for travel. Most hotels have in- room microwaves. Many offer breakfast “bars” where you can pick up yogurt, fresh fruit, milk and juices. (If there is a fridge in your room, grab a boiled egg, a carton of low fat, or fat free milk, and an apple or banana and keep in your room for snacking.) Almost all fast food chains carry side salads with low fat or fat free dressing, as do sit down restaurants! These are perfect add ons for lunch and dinner. Take along a few zip top bags of almonds, or .peanuts…or even, carrot and celery sticks and string cheese. These are quick and easy (and inexpensive ways) to add to your daily intake.
If your job required you to take clients our for dinner, then eat your Nutrisystem meals from breakfast and lunch, then chose lower fat options at dinner. Ask if you can order lunch portions in the evening. Ask for sauces and dressings on the side.
What do you think? Wouldn’t you be able to stick to your eating plan, if you brought these meals with you?

(And let me tell ya. I saw her a few weeks ago and she looks fantastic! Hopefully she will send along some photos for me to post next week! She is blowing me out of the water.)
Week 6
So, this week I have stayed the same. I get frustrated when I don’t see a difference on the scale because for weeks I just got so used to seeing smaller and smaller numbers. But I have to snap myself back into reality and realize I’m not going to lose pounds every single week of my life. Doesn’t mean it still isn’t a bummer, though!
Onto the food..I’ve been having a lot of the shakes lately. Its so hot here and I’ve been swimming quite often, and the shakes are just super refreshing and help fill me up. I’ve also been quite the fan of the Mac & Cheese with Beef. Out of all things, one would think I’d be sick of Mac & Cheese but I love it! I also love the baked potato. Anyone who knows me, know my love for mashed potatoes. So the fact that I can have them in a semi-healthy way, just makes me want to do a happy dance! It’s the little things in life that make things better, right??
Regarding the weeks to come, my goal is to just continue doing what I’m doing, along with more activities. And to continue to stay positive, and strive to get closer and closer to my ultimate weight loss goal!
Week 7
This week has been crazy! Been job searching/applying out the wazoo and had an interview. I feel like I haven’t even been home or have barely any time to myself. Which lets be honest, is probably a good thing seeing as how I would just be depressed over having not found a job yet. BUT through all the craziness and being on the go, Nutrisystem has made it so easy for me to just heat something up and take it with me to go. I just had the Meatball Parmesan Melt for the first time this week, and oh man! It turned into one of my favorites.
Another couple of my favorites have been some of the breakfast items. First off, I LOVE breakfast foods, so It’s my favorite time. The Sausage & Egg Muffin is so good!! I also love the Canadian Bacon & Egg White Biscuit, and the Egg & Turkey Sausage Roll. I could keep going, but you get the point, I’m a big fan!
Onto some exciting news…
I can fit into just about all my old clothes again!!! As I was looking through stuff I decided, well what will it hurt for me to try on these jeans? (Even though I knew they wouldn’t fit) But to my surprise they did! All my Jeans except for 2 pairs fit me again, which is HUGE. That alone just made me realize how thankful I am that this opportunity came to me. You’d never think being able to fit into your old wardrobe would be such a big deal, but it was. So since then I’ve just been so happy and continuing to strive forward and just get better and better results as the weeks go by. Through all the business and exhaustion this week has made me, all I can say is that I’m a super happy girl right now.
WE BOTH WANT TO SAY – THANKS NUTRISYSTEM!
I have heard great things about Nutrisystem, but have been hesitant to try! These meals that you posted look really tasty! Especially the cookies! Keep up the great work!!
