Five Tricks to Help Your Bathroom Sell Your House

Buyers love a fresh and beautiful bathroom. It helps if the bathroom reminds them of places they associate with class – a luxury hotel or a soothing spa. When you are selling your home, you want to make sure that the buyer can imagine themselves living there. They need to be able to look at your bathroom and imagine ending a stressful day in there.

However, it is true that most people do not have the perfect bathroom. Years of use with a couple of children to scratch the walls can leave your bathroom less than perfect. When you are selling it is a wise investment to do a full-on renovation. While it might seem costly to do a bathroom renovation, it translates to profit because it increases the perceived value of your home.

Does it then not make sense to maximize on what you have? To transform your bathroom into the kind that you would be proud to buy, for the sake of profits? Profits are, after all, one of the reasons you are selling your home. Here are five ways you can improve the look of your house:

  • Change the hardware

You can make a bold statement using small bathroom supplies. Most people find it easy to change things like switches or doorknobs all over the house but neglect the bathroom. When renovating to sell your house, you want to pay extra attention to the bathroom. Change the holders and hooks; make sure that they look as good as new. While at it, match the hardware with the general feel of the room.

As a thing to note, make sure that the new fixtures are better than what you are removing. For example, you might choose to have water-efficient showerheads and faucets. These can reduce water usage by more than 30%, a factor that would be alluring to the homebuyer. Additionally, efficient macerating upflush toilets make it work for bathrooms located in areas with low water pressure, such as the basement or second floor. The heavy-duty macerator pump enables behind-the-wall installation with an extension pipe to reduce the labor and cost of replacing an old toilet.

  • Maximize your storage

Storage space is attractive to buyers. A prospective buyer will look through your cupboards to see how much of their belongings they will be able to store there. As a rule of thumb, fill up to two-thirds of that space and organize your belongings. Keep things that you use every day, from lip gloss to hair clips in a box so that they are not scattered all over.

If you find that you are running out of space for toiletries, you can keep a wicker basket to store the overflow. The idea is to be creative with your space. You want the home buyer to know that they are not limited by the cupboards.

  • Repaint with neutral colors

Most new bathrooms Sydney are painted with neutral colors. When doing a bathroom renovation, that can be your opportunity to jump onto the trend. Whether it is the walls or new cabinetry, a neutral palette will give the bathroom a spacious feel. You can add color with accessories and towels.

  • Infuse technology

No buyer will consider it a deal breaker that you do not have an LCD screen in your bathroom. However, many still get excited at the super tricked-out bathroom. If you can, include features found in new bathrooms Sydney, such as built-in shower seats and and audio system. You can also have floors that radiate heat to serve the cold seasons.

  • Keep your bathroom clean

Sometimes sellers assume that the buyer would understand if the bathroom is not as clean as it can be. Nothing could be further from the truth. Buyers pay a lot for new bathrooms and one way to give your bathroom that newness is to clean it immaculately.

How a bathroom renovation company can help

Whether you want to change the hardware of your bathroom or to repaint it, or whether you have no idea where to begin your bathroom renovation, bringing in the professionals is the best way to go. A bathroom renovation company will be able to recommend the best way forward. Their wealth of experience and skill will go a long way into helping you determine what will sell. Besides, such companies will furnish you with the material you need.

Whatever the case, running a renovations project is not easy. One wrong move can make the bathroom look like a travesty. If you are looking to sell your home, contact your local bathroom renovation team to see how they can help you get your bathroom ready for sale.
