KC Masterpiece® Is Not Just For Grilling!

Yep, I bet the first thing that comes to mind when you hear KC Masterpiece®, is grilling, but you’ve got to start thinking outside the box.  Sure, keep a bottle for the grill, but there are so many other wonderful ways to use this magical liquid.

BBQ Sauce Use

I love salads, especially in the summertime when it’s just too hot to cook.  I decided to try using KC Masterpiece® as an ingredient in salad dressing.   It worked like a charm!

Salad Dressing with KC Masterpiece®
A delicious summer salad with dressing made with KC Masterpiece® Original BARBQUE Sauce

I really like the addition of black beans and corn in my salads so this luscious dressing paired really well!

KCM 1
5 simple ingredients – KC Masterpiece® Original, vegetable oil, sour cream, cumin and garlic powder!

I simply mixed together:

1/2 cup of KC Masterpiece® Original

1/3 cup of vegetable oil

1/2 cup sour cream

1 tsp cumin

garlic powder to taste

Tastes great used right away or chilled for a day or two.

It was delicious.  Tangy, but not overwhelming.  It was cool and smooth, and oh so good.  With the addition of some grilled chicken (basted in KC Masterpiece®, of course) would make it a complete meal.

What about you?  How would think outside the box to use your KC Masterpiece®? In a casserole, or maybe a frittata?  I’d love to hear some of your ideas.  Leave a comment,  so I can try some of your great recipes!

It really looks good and really unique. I like that KC masterpiece is not a real tangy bbq sauce to begin with. I always get the Honey sauce.

I usually don’t like barbecue sauce or dressing on my salad, but this dressing you’ve put together sounds really good! And I love black bean tortilla wraps…I might try this dressing in one of those soon!

  • I don’t think I’ve ever added barbecue sauce to salad dressing. There’s a vegan sour cream recipe that I’ve been wanting to try but wasn’t sure how I would use all of it. I will definitely try this salad dressing when I have the vegan sour cream.
