LAST TO DIE / Giveaway-Tour-Review

This giveaway is now CLOSED
From the Publisher:

A ruthless killer hides in plain sight, someone no one believes is capable of murder. Within a week, six women will be murdered, all punished for their dark pasts. Detective Dani Cole is determined to track down this serial killer whose victims include a young woman she pulled out of a life of crime. Her investigation leads her to a photography foundation and the renowned photographer Mitch Sheridan, a man she she fell in love with years ago but has tried to forget. Dani and Mitch are instantly attracted to each other again, though their troubled pasts keep them from getting too close. Together, through the course of the investigation, they unearth a dark chain of deception that leads to a killer who is closer than they think.

About the Author:

Kate Brady began writing fiction when her doctoral research became tedious.  For years, she wrote in the closet, penning several novels that—thankfully—remain there.  Now, she leads a double life.  Some days, she’s a choral conductor and professor of music education.  Other days, she plays with imaginary people on her computer.

Kate lives in Atlanta with her husband, two children, and an array of furry, feathery, and scaly things.  When she has time to read, her nose is most often found in a police story or gourmet cooking magazine!  She is currently working on her next novel.

My Review & Giveaway
Surprisingly, there wasn’t nearly
as much really bad language
in this one, as I expected.
It’s there, but pretty much in context
as opposed to just for the shock value.

I can’t watch super scary movies,
but I do enjoy reading them…
when there is a good plot,
well developed characters,
and lots of twists and turns.

Last To Die – has all 3!

  • Hey, everyone. I just wanted to stop in and thank you for featuring LAST TO DIE on the blog. It's definitely full of crazed stalking and killing — I'm told it may not be a good alone-at-night bedtime read! Frankly, I don't know where or why I come up with those things because I, too, am just an "overweight, brain damaged, sleep deprived, middle aged wife and mother"! (I love your description.) Anyway, thanks for the feature!

Happy reading (lights on, someone beside you, doors locked…)

  • What really scares me is a phone ringing or a knock on the door after 9:00 p.m. Toooo many crazy thinks are happening lately.
However, I would really like to read this book.

  • My nightmares are so vivid…a door opening at 3:11 AM? Waking and listening for sounds, and then being afraid to check that the door is locked. EEEEEEE!!!

  • Thanks for the contest. The book sounds good and I'd love to read it.

What scares me are silly things like flying insects and spiders.

  • What scares me… I had this awful dream where I am screaming for my husband to help me because something/someone is coming after me in the house and he can't hear me because he is sleeping (snoring!). That and going under water- which is a new fear as I became older.
I can't wait to read this book! If I don't win, I'll be sure to get it from the library!

  • This sounds like a really good book to read especially with Halloween coming up and I haven't read a good scary one in a long time. What scares me? Probably most seriously of all that something may happen to one of my loved ones.

  • Opps. Meant to include what scares me. Being alone in my house at night when the weather is bad, and I've been reading a scary book(which I do often) will scare the bejebees out of me. Sometimes so bad I can't sleep at all; but that's half the fun of it. Cheers.
