Let’s Be Prepared – It’s Hurricane Season here in the South and along the East Coast!
I’ve lived through many a hurricane, and let me tell ya folks – it ain’t pretty.
Being prepared is essential, and I’ve planned a series of posts on the things that you need to know, and things that you should have on hand, for your safety and well being.
First on the agenda will be cooking without power. No, you don’t have to settle for peanut butter and crackers, or MRE’s. You can prepare full meals – and I mean roasts, veggies, breads and desserts, using just the power of the sun.
I’ve been blessed to be able to work with Sun Oven (The Ultimate Solar Appliance), who have provided me with an All American SUN OVEN® Over the next week or so, I will be using my SUN OVEN® and then I’ll report back to you with photos, and all the details on how to cook using the Sun Oven. I’ll be providing recipes and suggestions on what to do, if you want to cook on a cloudy day.
