Preparing For the New Year – Let's Get Organized – The ScrapRack System

SECRET WORD:  ScrapRack

I’m always looking for ways to make my life more streamlined.  Ways to organize myself and my home.

Here is the first post, in a series about The ScrapRack.  This site and system is pure genius. What is the ScrapRack? In my opinion, it’s one of the coolest scrapbook/crafting organization sites and systems.  It always blows my mind when I see things like this. I then slap myself up the side of my head and think WHY DIDN’T I THINK OF THAT?

Are your scrapbooking and crafting supplies  all in one place?  Are they easily accessible? Can you quickly find a particular sticker, die cut, or piece of paper?  If you answered no to any of these questions, they you are going to want to keep watching & reading. I’m going to tell you just how you can…

“Tiffanize your craft supplies”!

Tiffany (The inventor of The ScrapRack) doesn’t just SELL products – She provides FREE online classes to get you AND keep you organized!

I attended the first class (this is an 8 week “challenge”) this past Tuesday.  It was fun and chock full of information. At the end of the session she patiently answered our many questions. Can’t attend the classes? No Problemo – she posts all the materials that you need, right on her site.  You can listen to each  class, any day / any time. Look over the printed info – print it out if you like. Can’t wait to move on to the next week?  She has you covered.  You can access all the materials right now.

I’m diligently working on this weeks assignment.  It will be a bit time consuming, but I know that it will be worth it.  I’ve spent so much money on all my scrapbooking and craft supplies, that I want to be able to make the most of my investment.  I want to be able to enjoy scrapbookin and crafting, which is hard to do, when I can’t find what I want ~ have to dig through piles of papers, shuffle through boxes loaded with embellishments, stamps, ribbons and adhesives ~ have stickers in drawers throughout the house ~ AND~ have no specific plan..

Come join me in the

2012 Back to School, Back to Scrapping Get Organized Challenge…AND

Be sure to come back each week, to see how I’m doing with the challenge.

  • I don’t scrapbook, but I firmly believe in Fall cleaning, before the holidays- and I think a good organization system WILL maximize your investment.

  • I don’t scrapbook either but can imagine how difficult it must get to organize everything. It sounds like it’s a big help and a real time saver.

  • This is the fourth time I do the 8-week Challenge Series with Tiffany, since I miss many sessions in each Series due to other commitments. This 4th time round I have made tremendous headway. Last week I rainbowed all my scraps, and this week I integrated all my cardstock full and half-sheets into my beautiful rainbow. The embellishments are slowly sneaking in there: every time I use an unsorted product, I put it in its new home in my scraprack when I’m done. Lena and Kim, I listened to each session a couple of times, they are all recorded so sometimes I only had time for 15 minutes at a time, but gradually I have absorbed all of Tiffany’s concepts to the point where I can now implement it all fairly easily, usually in small chunks of time. I will be done before Christmas, and it is so easy by doing a manageable amount at a time, as per Tiffany’s instructions. She helps make it work for everyone, with or without her scraprack. Oh, but how I love the scraprack. Thanks Libby for including your photos; they are another source of information for me. Every little bit helps.

  • Libby, I’m taking the Webinar, too, and am working very hard to do it all right. Your posts are encouraging and helpful in this endeavor. I have many years of paper crafting supplies built up – 80% Stampin Up products, as I became a Demonstrator in 1998. My studio is a converted 2-car garage and it’s totally full. Seems like I’m forever organizing and reorganizing and never getting it quite right . . . so many wasted hours/days. {heavy sigh} Then I stumbled across the ScrapRack website and signed up immediately for this Webinar. What a treasure I found! I firmly believe “Tiffanizing” will prove to be my final and *only* successful effort. She is amazingly generous in sharing her proven system with no charge whatsoever. Wow! I’ve purchased some of the pages – (embellishment pages are my absolute FAVE!) but haven’t been able to invest in The Rack yet. After reading all your comments, I’m determined to get busy on ebay and sell some things so I can buy it ASAP. And I look forward to more reviews from you on other products as well.

  • I have listened to two of Tiffanys series. I am still trying to gather all my scrapbooking into one place. I had my card making seperate from from my CM supplies. I was surprise when I realized that it was all scrapbooking. I am in the process of coverting my rubber stamps to acrylic. I found new cd cases on line. Before I started the conversion, I was going sell or donate the stamps. They were taking up too much room. Now they look fantastic.
