PUR Water Filtration System / Review

This Giveaway is now CLOSED

I recently received a

to use and review.
I’ve always had trouble drinking enough water.
I know that it’s important to stay hydrated – for a number of reasons.
In the last couple of months, I’ve been trying very hard to reverse
this bad habit, but I’ve found that the water goes down
so much easier when it’s flavored.
BUT, buying bottled flavored water can be very costly,
not to mention all those bottles to deal with.
I don’t have curbside recycling where I live, so I have
to take my cans, bottles and newspapers to a local
merchandiser – 10 miles away!
I try to combine my trips as much as possible,
which means that I have bags of recycling stacking up
in my laundry room, and garage.
So my PUR pitcher will definitely come in handy!
There is also the health concern, for the
quality of our drinking water.
Did you see this article in The New York Times?

The Water Quality Association actually just issued a press release
in response calling for Americans to use a home filtration system as a
“final contaminant barrier” in the home.

PUR FLAVOR OPTIONS

PUR Flavor Options is the first and only filter for tap water that lets you add a touch of sugar-free, calorie-free fruit flavoring to your water.
PUR Flavor Options was named “Household Product of the Year” by Product of the Year USA in January 2009 and comes in raspberry, lemon, grape and strawberry.

About PUR Water Filtration

Environment & Money: Switching from bottled water to filtered and a reusable bottle can eliminate up to 3,200 plastic bottles and save one person up to $600 annually.
Health: The EPA estimates that approximately 20% of Americans’ lead exposure is attributable to tap water. PUR filters are certified to reduce many contaminants, including 98% of lead, 99.9% of microbial cysts and 99% of pharmaceuticals.
Philanthropy: With each purchase of a PUR filter, a donation is made to Children’s Safe Drinking Water which has, to date, provided over 1.5 billion liters of clean water to needy children and their families around the world.

I received both Raspberry and Grape.
They were  great – not too sweet and no icky after taste.
& remember…
ZERO calories!
Now I really want to try
the other flavors too.

The Flavor Cartridge just drops right into the top of the pitcher.

The filter just drops in too.

The pitcher is sleek in design and fits really well in my fridge.

Replacement filters and cartridges can be easily
found online, and at numerous retail stores.

Are any of you concerned about your drinking water?
Are any of you thinking that you’d really like

  • Great giveaway. I would love to have this pitcher. I learned that each filter provides up to 40 gallons of clear water. The pitchers are certified to claim reduction of 2x more contaminates than Brita.
