Okay – I couldn’t contain myself…One Load At A Time:-)
When all of the kids were living at home (we have 10)
I did laundry day and night. I’ve lost track of how many washers and dryers we went through.
Load & Loads & Loads & Load & Loads of laundry.
I almost wet my pants one day when someone made the comment
“Gee, you must have to do laundry more than once a week.”.
Well DUH. More like 6 or more loads a day.
1. Jeans
2. Whites
3. Lights
4. Darks
5. Towels
6. More Towels
Usually there was a load of sheets on most days, and of course on the weekends.
Now that it’s just the two of us, I still so laundry more than once a week.
Here’s a peek at my laundry room.
I tend to wash in cold water.
I prefer liquid vs. powdered laundry detergent.
I’ve used and liked many different brands…but I have to say that my husband likes the scent of Gain..
and mixed with Down Unstopables, our clean clothes smell good enough to eat.
Another product that I use is Shout Color Catchers.
I like my little laundry room, it serves us quite well, but there are just a couple of things that could be improved on.
Yep – the light switch is behind the door. You have to go in and shut the door, to turn the light on:-(
Please note that I was not compensated or sponsored by the companies of any of the items mentioned or depicted!
I do towels and bed sheets on Monday & Thursday. Baby and pre-school clothes on Tuesday & Friday. My husband and my clothes on Wednesday. If anything else needs to be washed…I will do that load on Saturday. So Monday-Saturday equals 6+ loads of laundry but I do take a break on Sunday.
Since my kids have moved out laundry is not a problem I just divide up the whites from the colored wash and do 2 loads. Such a relief not to have to do 5 to 6 loads a week
