Christmas Eve
Twas the night before Christmas,
and all through the house,
I hear carols ringing and great joyful shouts.
Big J watching TV. Big S on computer.
Hubby in office… he’s an avid YouTuber.
I’m in my recliner, with eggnog in hand,
enjoying a good book, as only I can.
Munching on chocolate, texting my daughter,
realizing I didn’t send gifts to my father.
Tree lights are twinkling.
Cards have been mailed.
Dogs have been brushed from
their heads to their tails.
And now my dear readers,
I say with delight…
“Happy Christmas to all,
and to all a good night!”
