On The Road Again

I’ve been “on the road”, visiting with family and friends.  Upstate NY for 2 1/2 weeks, then on to Alabama for several days, and now I’m in TN. I’ve seen 3 daughters, 2 sons-in-law, 5 grand sons, and 2 grand daughters.  Oldest grand son, is graduating from high school tomorrow, and then we will be heading back home for a few days.  THEN – on to Florida for a week or two.  I’ll get to see 4 of my boys, a daughter-in-law, and a grandson, there. Staying a day or two with our parents in North Florida, friends in Central Florida, and a week or more at the beach (Clearwater area).  I’m tired, and ready to sleep in my own bed!

By the time we get back home for good, I’ll be slap worn out.  6 weeks away, 4 flights, 45 + hours in the car, 6 different beds, 5 states, lots of good eats, and good times. I’ve made cheesecakes, pound cakes, sugared pecans, and LOTS of hair accessories for a Boy Scout auction, shopped till I dropped, been to Steak ‘n Shake and Publix (Where Shopping is a Pleasure), washed about 25 loads of laundry, done dishes till my fingers have turned pruny.  Fed and rocked babies (and changed diaper after diaper after diaper), read story books, taught a young women’s Sunday School Class, played “pretend”,  rubbed backs (older grandsons love my massage therapy skills), and taken LOTS of photos!

Heading off now for a surprise birthday party, and dinner at Cracker Barrel.
