Summer Blog Challenge – 7/3

Going Green with the Grizls

Travel & plans you have for the summer.

At this point we don’t have many plans, as we’ve already “gone on vacation”.

I left on May 1st, and headed for Upstate NY, then from there I went to Alabama.

My husband met up with me on the 19th and we headed for Tennessee on the 23rd

to attend a grandsons high school graduation.

We headed back home on the 27th, and were back on the road again ( this time to Florida ) on June 1st.

Back home on the 12…we needed a vacation from our vacation.

Now, I do have to tell you, that my time was spent with kids and grand kids.

No amusement parks, Broadway shows, or fancy hotels.

The Florida leg of the trip, was for my husbands every other year, business conference,

and we save money by staying at a friends condo, which is right on the ocean.

We eat most meals in, and don’t do a lot of shopping.

The rest of the summer will be spent at home, which is just fine by me.

I will be heading to New Orleans for the NICHE MOMMY NETWORK conference at the end of August.

I will be going with my faithful sidekick – my Service Dog, Gabe,

and  a fabulous young blogger – the owner and writer at

Fabulous Finds by November Girl.

I’m so excited about this adventure, and hope to learn a great deal, and make new friends!

What about YOU? What are your plans for the summer?

What a fun trip! I’m glad you got to spend time with the kids. We don’t have any Summer travel plans this year. Gonna stay close to home and save up for a vacay next year.

I plan on heading to the east coast and catching some relaxing rays and then flying to Montana to visit my grandmother.

  • Wow — you’ve been doing some travelling, eh? 😉

I am saving my “pennies” for my trip to China this fall — going there to teach English at a university.

I would love to go anywhere other then here! 😛 But with 7 dogs, a cat and a snake,it’s pretty much impossible to travel. At least I got to send my Mom up north to Michigan and Ohio for several months. And she’s going to Florida next!

You certainly traveled a lot to see your kids and grandkids. I’m sure you don’t regret any of it. We are not traveling this summer, but hope to see more of our kids.
