Cookie Our Elf on the Shelf – Day 1 and 2

Cookie Our Elf on the Shelf – Day 1 and 2

She's Backl

Yep, it’s that time of year, when those pesky elves on the shelves come out to play.  Cookie is our elf, and she’s a mischievous little pointy eared character. She never gets into a lot of trouble, but we are never quite sure what we are going to wake to each day from December 1st to the end of the month.

She arrived yesterday morning, via a priority envelope.  I’m still not sure how she created the mailing label since she doesn’t have opposable thumbs, but I guess that’s all part of her magic.  Miss K knows better than to touch her, but in the evening when grandpa got home from work, he was promptly schooled in the rules of Christmas Elfdom.  After being scolded about picking her up, Miss K was schooled in the reality of having a grandpa who makes up his own rules.  No harm was done to any parties in the act of said schooling, and it is now known to one and all, that Cookie likes having grandpa pick her up and carry her around the house, while he makes ridiculous observations on life.

Here is what Cookie has been up to last tonight, after Miss K went to bed.

Elf Day 2

Our grand daughter, who lives with us, has a thing about wrapping paper. Give her a few cheap rolls, some tape and a pair of scissors and she can keep herself occupied for hours.  She’ll wrap up all her toys and books, simple so that she can unwrap them again.  I think she is going to go wild when she finds her homeschool corner all wrapped up!

For those of you who are not into the Elf on the Shelf nonsense, I recently found the perfect meme for you!
