I Love Biscuits!
But I’m a purist – I like them right out
of the oven with lots of butter and honey.
Just doesn’t get any better than that!

My husband likes them with fried ham.
Youngest son likes his with sausage gravy.
One of my sons-in-law likes them with chocolate gravy…
that’s a new one for me.

Since this promotion is for “new recipes”, here is my submission:
Remove frozen biscuits from bag.
Dip in melted butter.
Roll in sugar.
Place in oven and bake.
Remove and let cool.
Split biscuits in half, and place two “bottoms” on each plate.
Top with sliced strawberries.
(That have been mixed with sugar, and allowed to sit
in fridge until they have rendered some liquid:-)
Cover with biscuit “tops”.
Grab a can of whipped topping and cover
with loads and loads and loads.

LOL – I’m a mess – but I know good eat’n!

  • I would use these as the base for Strawberry Shortcake. Before baking the dough, I'd rub it with a bit of sugar. While the dough bakes, I'd cut up strawberries and add a little sugar and vanilla extract to them. Once the sweetened biscuits are done, I'd top them with the strawberry mixture and either whip cream or vanilla ice cream.

I take healthy request cream of chicken and add a bag of frozen veggies and a pound of chicken cooked and serve it over biscuits. It's complete comfort food.
