From the Publisher:

What would you do if you caught your sister in bed with your husband? Chances are at the very least you’d nix your relationship with both of them and run as far away as you could get–especially if the story is going to be plastered all over the tabloids. This is exactly what Hollywood mogul Blythe Stowe does. She heads to England and the Cornish Coast. There she steeps herself in Daphne du Maurier’s wonderful novels, finds love with an Englishman, and discovers family secrets that have been long concealed.

About the Author:

In addition to her career as a non-fiction writer and novelist, Ciji was a reporter and commentator on radio and television in Los Angeles for over 20 years. She holds a degree in history from Harvard where she was the first female graduate to serve as president of the Alumni Association. She’s the author of five novels in addtion to her non-fiction works.

My Review:
Very interesting concept…sort of like time traveling.
Ware paints a picture with words.
I could feel the sea spray, smell
the flowers at Barton Hall,
and feel Blythe’s anger,
when reading this story.
It is a little steamier than I prefer,
but you all know that about me by now.
Another powerful novel by Ciji Ware.
If you enjoyed Island Of The Swans
You’ll want to have a copy of A Cottage By The Sea,
on your bookshelf, for sure!
A big thanks to Danielle and Sourcebooks!
