Here in the South…
Spring has arrived, and there is a very short window,
until we are smack dab
in the middle of the HOT HOT summer.
So, it’s imperative that we get our
Spring Cleaning done very very soon,
before it’s too uncomfortable to do just about anything
other than sit very still in our air conditioned houses,
sip ice cold drinks, and dream of cooler weather!
This year my main focus of my Spring Cleaning,
is my home office.
It serves not only as my office, but also as a
craft and scrapbooking studio,
along with being a spare bedroom.
I’ve maximized the storage space in the closet,
by adding shelving, and I’ve utilized the rods,
for hanging organizational “cubbies”.
I’ve gotten a small table to replace the large computer desk,
so that there is more room to move around,
and making the area much easier to clean.
Books shelves, over the door storage,
and upright plastic storage drawers on wheels,
has also helped in “opening up” floor space.
My biggest problem is paper…
mounds and mounds and mounds of paper.
So, what am I to do?
Well, I’ll tell ya….I’m going to start scanning as much as I can.
This will help to eliminate the need for the filing cabinet,
and thus save even more room.
Less furniture, means less places for dust
to accumulate on, behind, and under!
Then I’m going to SHRED all that
excessive unneeded paper that I will have scanned.
