Springtime Treats Equal Sucralose – Round 3:-)
Last night Steve and I headed out for date night…really exciting stuff.
We went to Sonic for dinner, then popped into Walmart for a quick shopping trip. Since I left my list at home, I headed straight to the things that I could remember that I needed. We got more eggs, some butter, yogurt, cereal – on sale, woot-woot, and some big yellow canisters of
Equal Sucralose has zero calories, and you can cook and bake with it….measures the same a sugar. The Equal Sucralose canisters are light, and they are easy to use. Just pop open the can, and easily spoon or scoop out, the amount needed. When you just put the top back on the canister…you know that the can closed is closed (unlike the zip top bags or Splenda, that are awkward to use.)
We wandered around the store, picking up things here and there. I found several things in a clearance aisle… a cool kitchen floor mat was my favorite score for the night. Steve grabbed more Easter candy, and I got some plastic Easter “buckets”, for just 97 cents each. I’ll be using them to store flower hair clips, that I make.
I was a little irritated, when we went to check out, because there were lines, and half the registers were closed. This is the one thing that really bugs me, and unfortunately, it happens more often than not:-( After we checked out, we loaded up the car, and headed home.
Today, I decided to try using the Equal Sucralose, in a treat for Steve…Pie Crust Pinwheels. It’s a simple goodie that he really likes. Nothing more thank flour, salt, shortening, water, sugar (which I switched out with Equal Sucralose), butter, and cinnamon! Here are all the ingredients, and the finished product!
I honestly can say, that these pinwheels tasted the same using the Equal Sucralose, as it does with sugar, and there is no difference in the texture or the appearance. I am most definately going to start using it often, in place of sugar in my cooking and baking!
So that some of you can try Equal Sucralose, I have some $2.00 off coupons to give away. 3 readers will get 10 coupons to use and share with friends and family. Just fill out the Rafflecopter form to enter.
