In the series pilot, Dean and Sam Winchester lose their mother to a demon.
At the beginning of Season 2, the brothers face an equally tragic loss when their father, John,
sacrifices himself to save his children.
Throughout the season both brothers deal with this loss
while coming to terms with what it means to be a  family through humor

I can so relate to this.
Having raised 10 children,
(with the help of my dear sweet husband)
I HAD to have a sense of humor!

We had two motto’s:
#1 What doesn’t kill us, makes us stronger.
#2 We might as well laugh about it, since crying causes headaches.

Those motto’s hold true to this day, for all of us…
parents and children alike.
My family means everything to me,
and I’m so very very grateful for all of them!!!

Do you have a funny story about your family…
something that has brought you closer together?
Feel free to leave a comment, so we can all laugh with you:-)

  1. I've never seen Super Natural, but I've heard good things about it, I'm not much of a TV watcher. Let's see a funny story…we lost my maternal grandmother unexpectedly several years ago, the family had long since lost it's cohesiveness. After she died we were charged with the task of cleaning out her house (she was a pack rat, borderline hoarder actually), we discovered some very risqué pics of my old granny. We laughed until we cried, simply because we have a tendency to forget that the old was once young and that the young will some day be hold – but we are all human. Ultimately cleaning out the house gave us an opportunity to spend time together (aunts, uncles, cousins) and we hadn't done that in a very long time.

Thanks so much for following, I'm your newest follower too!
