4 Fun Ways To Get in Shape (That Do a Lot for Your Frame of Mind Too!)

For some people, exercising is all about packing in as many push-ups and sit-ups as possible. The fact is that we don’t need to do things that we don’t like to stay in shape. In fact, if you really want to stick to a fitness regime, you’ve got to do the things that you really enjoy. This is why it’s so important to find the right things that will keep you going, so let’s show you some things that you could make the most of if you want to lose weight and enjoy it at the same time.

4 Fun Ways To Get in Shape

Pilates

A lot of people don’t like the idea of yoga because of the whole “Namaste” approach to it. Pilates is something that is an incredibly beneficial workout that can feel incredibly enjoyable. Many gyms like Fitness 19 offer a variety of Pilates classes that you can get to grips with and really enjoy.

Boxing

A lot of women have started to take up boxing, not just because it is a fantastic workout for the entire body, but is a way for you to feel stronger in yourself. Boxing is one of those sports that covers a wide variety of disciplines. You need to be light on your feet, you need to be fast, but you’ve got to have the power behind the punches. Having a boxing workout is incredibly intense but it’s also something that can make us feel like we are able to handle anything. A lot of people when they first start out boxing worry about getting hit, but once you get hit, you don’t have to worry about it anymore and you will feel like you are able to tackle anything that comes your way. Once you’ve been hit by someone, everything else in life is just plain sailing.

Martial Arts

Very similar to boxing, but martial arts is more disciplined in so many ways. The great thing about martial arts is that you have a wide variety to choose from that suits your needs. And when you start to progress towards getting your black belt, it’s something that is a very measured way for you to recognize your progress. There is nothing quite like the feeling you get as you progress further up the ranks. It’s something that doesn’t just help you to get fit and healthy, but it gives you that discipline that you can carry into other areas of your life because you will have that inner confidence that you don’t need to work on.

Swimming

If you are getting to the point where you need to start taking it easy because of an injury or you are feeling stiffer when you get out of bed in the morning, swimming is an amazing workout that targets the entire body. It can be as intense as you want and is a fantastic cardiovascular workout that will work every muscle in the body. It’s also beneficial if you are experiencing breathing issues. Cardio workouts like swimming is an amazing way for us to get fit, healthy, and breathe better, plus it’s a whole lot of fun as well!
