From the Publisher:

Available for the first time Unabridged on CD in an all-new recording by Scott Brick, the first of the blockbuster thrillers by New York Times bestselling author David Baldacci. The book that will change the way you think about Washington – and power – forever. In a heavily guarded mansion in a posh Virginia suburb, a man and a woman start to make love, trapping a burglar behind a secret wall. Then the passion turns deadly, and the witness is running into the night. Because what he has just seen is a brutal slaying involving the president of the United States.

Luther Whitney is the career break-in artist who’s in the wrong place at the wrong time. Alan Richmond is the charming U.S. president with the power to commit any crime. And Jack Graham is the young attorney caught in a vortex between absolute truth and… ABSOLUTE POWER

My Review:
I love thriller/suspense novels…
and
Absolute Power
was a great “read”.
Baldacci has written a fantastic story,
and Brick does a fine job narrating.
Baldacci (who is a lawyer
and has practiced trial and corporate law)
has published 17 books,
and has certainly found his niche in
writing “political thrillers”.
I enjoyed this one, and also loved
True Blue
(stay tuned for my review).
They are fast paced crime stories,
and, I think, hit pretty close to the mark.

Thanks to Anna and Hachette, for giving me the
opportunity to listen to this audio book.

  • I love, love, love mysteries and thrillers. I listen to audio books when I travel, but also just commuting back and forth to work. I can finish a book in a week and a half to two weeks just in the car to work. It's much better than flipping through the radio station trying to find something to listen to.

I have not had the opportunity yet to listen to an audiobook. Although I would like to.

I love thrillers, I have to say they are my favourites.

  • Hi. I love thrillers. They are my favorite genre. I do love audio books as well. I listen to them when I'm in my car, which is a lot. Baldaccic is a great storyteller and I haven't read/listened to this book. Would love to win it. Cheers.

My favorite books are thrillers. The only place I have ever listened to audio books is the car but if I acquire more I will probably listen to them in the kitchen. I follow under pbclark.

I love to read thrillers. I just recently started listening to audio books & I admit I only listen to and from work. I'm sure as I use audio books more, I'll think of more places to use them.
