Have A Stunning And Rustic Wedding In The Fall

When you imagine tying the knot, you picture rows of softly lit candles, mason jars filled to the brim with sparkling cider and a backdrop that is bursting with breathtaking colors. Your desires are pointing you towards a rustic and stunning wedding celebration in the middle of fall.

As the summer dwindles down, people will stop searching for light dishes so that they can get excited about ones that are warm and comforting. Couples who are still in the planning stages of their wedding and looking for a wedding caterer that will be the right fit should narrow their search down to companies that can give their guests the cozy meals that they love. Think of a reception that starts with a simmering bowl of roasted squash and coconut soup, followed by truffle gnudi covered in walnut pesto and finally a piece of thick apple cake or strawberry rhubarb crumble. For appetizers during the cocktail hour, you can have entire spreads of cured meats, cheeses and slices of fresh baguette presented on rustic wooden platters. If this piques your interest, you should consider booking the Toronto wedding catering company The Food Dudes to get your guests licking their lips as they look at their plates.

Take advantage of the famously beautiful trademarks of the season like the trees that turn glorious shades of orange, burgundy, cherry red and golden yellow. When you are planning for pictures, go to a spot that is surrounded with bright fallen leaves — the colorful background will make for a lovely setting for your fall wedding photos as a couple or with the entire party. If you are taking your pictures in front of the venue, request that they don’t rake or sweep the leaves away for your sake. You can also display the leaves in your venue décor by including them inside of your rustic fall centerpieces with brilliant blooms, birch bark and gourds like sugar pumpkins and acorn squash.

If you like the idea of covering the venue with autumnal decorations, you might want to integrate the pieces into your wedding party outfits. Put a twist on the traditional bouquet by wrapping a collection of flowers and leaves together with twine or a strip of burlap. To match the bold bouquet, the bride and her party can wear gorgeous floral crowns made of woven blooms like Queen Anne’s Lace, Dahlias, orange Gerbera daisies and Calla Liles. The groom and his party can follow a similar theme with the boutonnieres pinned to the lapels of their suit jackets. Other small touches that will turn heads as you meet down the aisle are elegant feathers, large pinecones and thick curls of ribbon.

If you’re looking for wedding catering in Toronto, hire a company with a menu that will make your guests feel warm even after they venture into the outdoor air. Show off what the magnificent season has to offer by filling the ceremony and reception with leaves and flowers. With the right plans, you can have a wedding that captures the comforting and beautiful spirit of fall.

  • Oh, these are some really good ideas, and the food concept has me thinking it is a good reason for a fall wedding. October is perfect, past most of the hurricanes, and before November hard rains. What could be a prettier backdrop. I know a farm they have a mountain top wedding venue, it is so pretty for outside weddings, it would be esp. nice in the fall.
