Help for Have Sippy Will Travel

My sincerest heartfelt love and empathy,
goes out to all those who were in the path
by Hurricane Irene.
*Like the boy  on the beach, throwing one starfish after another,
back into the ocean…
I know that I can’t help all those that have been affected,
but I can help one.

One of our “own” has been hit, and hit hard.

Has had her home completely flooded.
She and her family, have pretty much lost
EVERYTHING!
Clothes, furniture, memorabilia, and all the childrens’ toys.
(And the Christmas presents that had already been purchased for this year.)
Her 4 year old loves trains, and he has lost his entire collection,
which has upset her the most – right now anyway.

Their house is filled with water and raw sewage.

This is a proud woman, who would never ask for help,
but her online friends WILL!

Help that one starfish – Every penny counts.

THE STARFISH STORY
One day a man was walking along noticed a boy pickup things
and gently throwing them into the ocean.
Approaching the boy, he asked, “What are you doing?”
The boy replied, “Throwing starfish back into the ocean.
The surf is up and the tide is going out. If I don’t throw them back, they’ll die.”
“Son”, the man said, “don’t you realize there are miles and miles of beach
and hundreds and hundreds of starfish? You can’t make a difference”.
After listening politely, the boy bent down,
picked up another starfish and threw it back into the surf.
Then, smiling at the man, he said……
”I made a difference for that one!”
