Holiday Decorating with At Home Stores

I love Love LOVE the holidays, and the more decorations the better.  Once we’ve devoured the turkey and pumpkin pie, out comes the bins filled with all our decorations. Our tree goes up, the table is set with holiday finery and the lights are put up outside.

My front door is looking pretty shabby due to the heavy rains that we have had as of late (not to mention the horrible flooding that occurred a year ago).  Unfortunately, we haven’t had the time or funds to strip and re-stain the doors, or have them replaced.  So,  I’ve wanted to do something to make my entrance look better.  My solution was found  At Home Stores.  For a fraction of the price to have my front doors redone, I’ve been able to spruce up our entrance and be able to use the items year after year.

Wow, this awesome shelf was less than $100.  It is a little rustic and a bit industrial – which is just what I wanted.  It’s nice and sturdy and fits my small porch perfectly. I can dress it up or down for the holidays and seasons.

My husband got excited on this shopping trip.  He got into the holiday spirit along with me, and I noticed that he added quite a few items to the cart.  His first addition was this outdoor Lamp Post. Although he wanted to get it the last time we went to Home Stores,  I talked him into table decorations. This time around he got his wish.

It’s  really cute, and because it’s lightweight I was able to put it out on the porch all by myself.  I had a little help with the shelf, but as soon as it was in place, I started adding all the goodies that we picked up.

As the days progress, I will probably add some fresh poinsettias and, or course, candy canes for visitors to take when they come by.
