The Second-Half Adventure

Whoever you are, whatever your skills and experiences, you can use what you have gained in life to help change the world. In connection with The Finishers Project, The Second-Half Adventure will enable you to analyze where you have been, where you want to go in the second-half of your life, and how to start preparing today.

As an active Latter-Day Saint
I’m very familiar with the concept
of serving a mission,
(both as a young adult and in “the second -half” of life),
so I looked forward to reading about other
baby boomers from another denominations,
who have taken this step.
Kay Marshall Strom has written a lovely book,
filled with her personal insight into the
benefits of doing missionary work – both for the missionary
and those that he or she serves.
For me the most practical aspect of the book,
was in the chapter titled “Confronting The Barriers”.
The most inspiring…”Reweaving a Dream”, and
“As Though Eternity Depended Upon It.”
A beautiful book, with a touching message.
Chock full of information for those
who might have the even the slightest inkling
of doing something more in their golden years.
