Welcome to my  Nutrisystem Week 5 #NSNation Report.

Nutrisystem Week 5

No waiting till the end of the post to find out how much I lost this past week…

I’m down another 4.4 lbs. for a total of 11.7 lbs.

Now, I realize that some of the other #NSNation Bloggers in our group, lost this much weight by the end of their second week.  Yes, to be perfectly honest, I’m jealous, – BUT –  I know that slow steady weight loss is the best option for me.  There will be ups and downs and plateaus, and I can’t look back…only forward.  Each step is part of the long journey ahead of me.

I also took a few minutes this week, to take my measurements.  Down 8 inches.

Stupidly, I did not take them  when I first started  the program.  I logged them in for the first time on 9th of July.  I’m sure that I’ve lost a lot more inches, but live and learn.

This weeks winning entree….  Chef’s Table™ Whole Wheat Ricotta Crepes

Typically, I will have a Nutrisystem entree for dinner, along with a large serving of vegetables or a large salad.  I don’t skimp on the dressings, and I usually will add some croutons, dried cranberries and toasted nuts.  I’ll put a dab of butter on my veggies, and I honestly don’t feel deprived in the least.  If my daughter has prepared something that I really really like, I’ll eat a small portion – instead of an afternoon snack.

Some days I’ll switch things around and eat my dinner for breakfast, breakfast for lunch and lunch for dinner, or just totally reverse my meals.  It all depends on how I slept the night before, how early I get up and/or what we are doing that particular day. When we eat out, I’ll often skip my snacks and/or dessert, to make up for the additional calories, unless I am able to choose a meal that is very similar in calorie content to a Nutrisytem entree. It all works out.

I got a new shipment of food the other day… now my pantry and freezer are overflowing! One of my biggest challenges (besides getting down the blasted water), is trying to decide what meals to choose. I have some of my favorites, but there are so many items that I haven’t tried yet. You already know that I love the Biscotti Bites, but I also really really like the oatmeal.  I’m a long time oatmeal fan and Nutrisystem’s offering is very thick and creamy…filling and tasty. So far, I’m enjoyed most of the things that I’ve tried…a few won’t be on my reorder list, but by far, I’ve been very very pleased.

Thanks Nutrisystem!
