5 Experiences For Adrenaline Junkies in Vegas

In 2018, over 42 million people visited Las Vegas.

Are you planning your own Sin City getaway this year?

While many people might be satisfied with spending their time in Vegas dining, drinking, and gambling, the thrill-seekers among us might what something more.

If you’re looking for activities for adrenaline junkies in Vegas, you’ve come to the right place.

  1. Go SkyJumping

If you’re looking for a thrilling, adrenaline-pumping activity that doesn’t take up your whole day, you might want to do the SkyJump. Taking roughly 35-45 minutes, you can easily squeeze this in between other activities (though maybe don’t do it immediately after lunch.)

Located at the Stratosphere, which is the tallest observation tower in the United States, the SkyJump holds a world record for the highest commercial decelerator descent facility.

This means that you’ll be making an open-air leap from 855 feet about the Vegas Strip and then right before you hit the ground you’ll be slowed down for a safe, controlled landing.

The only SkyJump in North America, this is truly a Vegas adventure you won’t want to miss. Your friends and family can even watch you leap from a special viewing area.

  1. Race Exotic Cars

Las Vegas is a place where the impossible becomes possible and your wildest thrill-seeking fantasies can come true.

Do the casinos and fancy restaurants leave you feeling bored? Are you looking to race cars in Las Vegas? Not just any old cars, but are you hoping to race exotic cars in Vegas?

If it’s always been your dream to drive exotic cars around an award-winning race track, boy do I have a treat for you.

With Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Mercedes, Porsches, and more, you can realize your wildest exotic car dreams at SPEEDVEGAS.

As a part of these driving experience packages, you’ll also be able to drive and jump a real trophy truck around their offroad race track.

With the fastest and longest racetracks in Las Vegas, this is a must-do for any adrenaline junkie. Don’t miss the opportunity to experience mind-blowing Las Vegas racing!

  1. Go Skydiving

Skydiving is a classic activity for anyone who seeks the rush of adrenaline pumping through their body.

Not only are there quite a few options when it comes to traditional skydiving, but Las Vegas also offers indoor skydiving opportunities.

What? Indoor skydiving? How’s that possible?

Indoor skydiving is an activity that is more accessible than regular skydiving. Without having to jump out of an airplane, you can experience what it feels like to be in a freefall.

By simulating freefall conditions in a column of wind created by a vertical wind tunnel, you can experience freefalling for a longer period of time and without the safety concerns of true skydiving.

  1. Ride the Big Apple Roller Coaster

Located at the New York-New York Hotel and Casino right on the Las Vegas Strip, this roller coaster is not for the faint of heart.

With speeds topping out at 67 MPH and a whopping 144-foot drop, this roller coaster gives you magnificent views of the Vegas Strip while also fulfilling your need for adventure.

You can purchase one-off tickets for this ride for $14, but a dedicated adrenaline junkie might want to buy the all-day pass (called the Scream Pass) for $25. This way you can get your adrenaline fix multiple times throughout the day in between casino games and delicious meals.

  1. Go Flyboarding

No adrenaline junkies should leave Las Vegas without going flyboarding.

Flyboarding is like a mix between a hoverboard and a jetpack. Able to both plunge underwater and fly into the sky, you’ll feel like a real superhero.

While it can take a little while to get the hang of, a practiced flyboarding enthusiast can propel themselves up to 40 feet into the air.

Bonus Thrill-Seeking Vegas Ideas

Looking for more ideas beyond the five I’ve listed? Not to worry! There’s no shortage of amazing adventures to have while you’re staying in Vegas.

Were you hoping for something more psychologically thrilling? Vegas has a number of escape rooms to get your heart pumping. They even have an official Saw Escape Room. Is feeling like you’re inside a horror film sounds right up your ally? You might want to check it out.

If you’re tired of the city lights, you might consider taking a helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon. There are several reliable companies to choose from. At the not-outrageous price of about $300 per person, it’s pretty tempting to view one of the most impressive landscapes in America from a birdseye view.

You could also try out the number of zip lining experiences available in Vegas. There’s one right downtown on the Strip, but you can also get into the desert and check out some seriously impressive zip lining courses out in the great outdoors.

With apparently every possible activity available in Las Vegas, you can even go skiing and snowboarding.

It’s hard to believe that such a thing would be possible in the desert! Only about an hour drive north-west of the Vegas Strip, the Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort is located in Lee Canyon. They don’t call it Nevada (Spanish for snow-covered) for nothing!
