Anyone who knows me even the slightest, knows that I am a tubaholic. I could spend hours in the tub, soaking away my aches and pains. And when I say hours, I mean HOURS. The tub is my second office. It’s my little home away from home. So, it stand to reason that soaps and sundries are right up my ally too! So, when Soap Cauldron reached out to me I grabbed them by the hand and did not let go!
I spent a good hour agonizing over what I wanted to try…I knew that Bath Salt Soak would be at the top of my list, but what scent or scents should I try? Soap Cauldron offers so many, it was truly hard to choose. Did I want several small offerings, so that I could try many scents, or did I want to go all in on a large quantity of one scent? After much deliberation, I went with the latter. I’m a sucker for the aroma of fresh apples, so I went with the Gravenstein Apple & Clove Bath Salt Soak…and I’m so glad I did. HEAVENLY!
Opening the bag was like twisting off the cap of a jug of apple cider, or cutting into a warm, freshly baked apple pie. Sweet, tart, with just a hint of spice..delicious. The salts dissolved completely when added to the running water in the tub, and although the scent lingered, it wasn’t overpowering, once diluted. Kind of like baby bears bed…it was just right. I let the warm lightly scented water melt away the tension of the day. Aaaahhhhh. The directions call for 2 ounces of salts, but I added a bit more, as I have a deep soaker tub, but in hind sight, I don’t think that I needed to, as the Soap Cauldron uses the best ingredients in their products, and I believe that the specified amount would have been totally adequate for my needs.
About Soap Cauldron
Our company, Soap Cauldron is the creative ground from which all our soap creations originate. We are family owned and operated and located in beautiful Northern California and we’ve been making natural herbal soaps in small batches for our family and friends as the Three Sisters Apothecary and Soapy Tails brands since 1999. The art of alchemy best describes what we do. Our handcrafted bar soaps are made in the time-honored tradition of the first soap guilds of 7th century Europe. Now just as it was then each bar is handmade in small batches with only natural botanicals, pure essential oils and gourmet butters. From the early recipes coveted by these guilds, these beneficial ingredients nourish and support skin daily. We incorporate ingredients from nature into our cauldron and transform them into nourishing and gentle soaps that gently cleanse and pamper the skin. We know that in this fast-paced world the simplicity of nature is often forgotten. We bring back that reverence for nature with our products. The natural plant oils we select are pure and chosen for the unique properties they impart to our bars. These oils are gently heated with finely ground nurturing botanicals that will infuse their benefits to the finished soap bar. What makes our brand unique:· We are community based, and family owned. We care about transparency and simplicity.· We use only natural ingredients which is why we only make anhydrous (oil based) products.· Our products are made naturally and packaged environmentally with the smallest carbon footprint possible.
