About the Author:
(From the back cover)

In 1996 Max Brenner opened his first tiny chocolate workshop – a traditional candy store where he chatted with customers while mixing and tempering chocolate on a marble tabletop.  The intimate stories shared would become the spark for his chocolate creations.

A child’s dream of a fantastic chocolate party inspired Max’s famous Chocolate Pizza.  A beautiful couple drinking hot chocolate from soup bowls became Max’s rich Hot Chocolate and signature Hug Mug, a special cup that fits in the palms of your hands, allowing you to experience the drink’s full fragrance and warmth.

Max Brenner, Chocolate by the Bald Man restaurants, celebrate these intimate chocolate stories.  Each one is part Parisian cafe, part chocolate factory, where chocolate is piped from gigantic chocolate mixers to a sprawling chocolate bar, and customers dine in a sensual candelit atmosphere.  With restaurants all over the world and growing, Max Brenner is an international sensation.

Chocolate: A Love Story includes 65 delicious chocolate recipes for every meal and occasion – from decandent chocolate breakfast foods, to sweet take son savory  treats, to fun cocktails and even soup.  This vibrantly illustrated, oversized cookbook features luscious photographs and original artwork by the designer Yonatan Factor, alongside Max’s passionate chocolate stories.  Chocolate: A Love Story provides delectable recipes and the inspiration to embrace Max Brenner’s Chocolate Culture as a way of life.

Max Brenner is a confectioner, businessman, and above all, a passionate lover of chocolate. He began his career as an apprentice throughout Europe, where he worked in the best kitchens alongside renowned pastry chefs. It was in Europe that his love for chocolate evolved into passion, leading him to open a small chocolate workshop in his homeland of Israel. Many years later, Max Brenner: Chocolate by the Bald Man is now a thriving international brand, committed to spreading Max’s vision of Chocolate Culture to the world.

My Review:
I was so excited when I found out that I was going
to get to review this book, because I’ve had my own love story
with chocolate, for as long as I can remember!
This big beautiful book is filled with the most wonderful recipes.
Going through it is liken to a kid in a candy shop…
…with so much to choose from – which recipe should I try first?
The Belgian street waffle or Meaningless sweet spaghetti?
Controversial cherry soup or Wannabe French hot chocolate?
Oooohh, maybe I’ll try Spy-thriller chocolate Black Forest Cake,
or The adult and child chocolate burger joint venture?
I want to try them ALL!

Filled with the most glorious recipes,
glorious photo’s and interesting art work.
Chocolate: A Love Story, is a chocolate lovers dream come true.

If I go AWOL – It will be because I’ve died and gone to chocolate heaven:-)
