Buckley’s Story is the story of how one small cat changed the author’s life in ways she never could have imagined. I adore animals, especially cats, and love animal stories but I have difficulty handling stories in which an animal gets hurt or is abused even if the end of the story is a happy one. I think Ingrid King is an amazing and wonderful woman and an inspiration. She does so much for animals. I wish I had her bravery and courage. Buckley is adorable! I'm so happy he has a wonderful home. Some people won't keep animals who are sick and I think it's always great to hear about an animals who is ill, has a disease or has lost an eye or a leg or some such thing who has found a happy home with a loving human. Buckley's story sounds wonderful. I am adding it to my TBR list and my Christmas List!

Great review. I just finished this book and thought it was a beautiful story. Animal lovers can completely understand how very much a pet can change our lives.

I have read Buckley's wonderful story and agree that Ingrid King writes with tremendous depth of understanding, not just of felines, but also of the spiritual beings that animals are. Animals/cat lovers, will really relate to this emotional story of love, commitment and the beauty of the human-animal bond.
