For many the first thing that comes to mind when they think of Florida, is theme parks. To others its palm trees and sandy beaches. But it’s so much more. Florida offers beautiful landscapes, quaint towns, mom and pop stores and restaurants, and so much more. This is the first in a series on places to go and things to see and do in MY Florida, where I was born and raised.

I was invited to come and visit Erika’s Tea Room, but was not able to visit because of the lock-down months ago. I look forward to visiting soon since it’s located just an hour or so away from my home. In the mean time, they sent me a few things to sample, and oh my goodness – now I can’t wait to go!
SCONES – who knew that it was possible to make so many varieties. I got to try Vanilla Chamomile, Lemon Lavender, and my absolute favorite…White Chocolate Papaya. I always thought that scones were sort of just dry lumps of dough without much taste, but I was proved sooooo wrong. These were moist and the mixture of the chocolate and papaya made for a delicious treat. Also included were a number of teas, and as I only drink herbal, I passed those on to a very grateful recipient.

Our Story
Erika’s Tea Room opened July 2014 and is the culmination of the Shanoff’s family dream. Family owned and operated, visitors become part of our family every time they sit down in our parlor for a pot of tea with scones. Enjoy the delectable creations of Chef Leila and chat with Erika while browsing in the shop.Erika’s Tea Room is located in the heart of the beautiful downtown Clermont business district. Nestled beside Lake Minneola, between Route 50 and Route 27, the area is home to unique retail stores and the Historic Village.
Erika’s Tea Room & Gifts is a traditional English style Tea Room featuring a High Tea Service and over 130 teas. Teapots, Disney Teapots, Britto, Ginger Snap Jewelry, Kameleon Jewelry, etc.

Offering a full High Tea experience with delicious home made scones, freshly made sandwiches, and a selection of yummy desserts.

I look forward to visiting and spending time checking out all they have to offer. Not just an enjoyable “Tea Party” experience (possibly the Lady of the Lake High Tea), but also for some SHOPPING!
