From the Publisher:
Twelve years ago, renowned physician and author Dr. William Sears was diagnosed with cancer. He, like so many people, wanted-and needed-to take control of his health. Dr. Sears created a comprehensive, science based, head-to-toe program for living a long, fit life-and it worked. Now at the peak of health, Dr. Sears shares his program in PRIME-TIME HEALTH. This engaging and deeply informative book will motivate readers to make crucial behavior and lifestyle changes. Dr. Sears explores how to keep each body system healthy and delay those usual age-related changes.
About Authors:
William Sears, MD, has practiced pediatrics for more than 30 years, and is an associate clinical professor at the University of California, Irvine, School of Medicine. Martha Sears is a registered nurse, childbirth educator, and parenting and health consultant. They are the authors of more than 30 books and live in southern California.
My Review:
EXCELLENT BOOK!
This is probably the most sensible of comprehensive
health plans, that I have ever read.
My best friend had a heart attack last month.
We are about the same age
(I’m 4 1/2 months older than she is),
and boy, was this ever a wake up call for me!
Thankfully, she was taken to the hospital in time,
and had a stent put in, and she is doing just fine.
BUT – gosh, it scared the daylights out of me.
Since I’m overweight (ok – fat), out of shape,
and have a slew of medical problems
(besides my sleep disorders…
I have a bundle branch block,
hypothyroidism & Reynauds disease,
among other things),
I know that I have to do something to get
control over my health.
Doctor Sears (along with his wife, Martha Sears, RN)
have written book, with a plan that I think
I can stick with.
I can eat almost everything on their
Top Fill-Up Food List
(except for the Toful – I’m allegic to soy – bummer:-(
&
I truly believe that I can follow their
Rx For Prime-Time Nutrition,
and I think that I can slowly work up to their
Rx For Prime-Time Physical Fitness.
Since getting back from Florida
(when I found out about my friend, I hopped
on a plane to go stay with her for a few weeks),
my husband and I have been eating much healthier…
more veggies, fruit and whole grains &
less meat and a lot less fat.
Exercise still hasn’t become a part
of my everyday routine, but I’m pledging
to get myself moving!
Your
health is precious – take it seriously!

I would absolutely love to win this book. I recently had a bout with breast cancer and I still cannot get myself on a proper program. It is so difficult as one person will tell you one thing and another person another thing. There are hundreds of help books out there, but I wind up staring at them, not know what to do.
I do promise to take care of myself. Hopefully with this book
thanks for the great giveaway
I am doing what I can to improve my health…getting exercise and eating right and losing the 50 excess pounds I've been carrying around for years. I hope by the end of this year, that will be gone.
