Purina® Pro Plan® BRIGHT MIND for a Bright Future

This is Gabriel.  He came into my life about 4 1/2 years ago.  He was rescued from a kill shelter the day that he was scheduled to be euthanized. A dear sweet woman, who we now call Aunt Leah (a certified animal trainer and Service Dog advocate), gave him a second chance on life, and in turn, gave me a gift that I can never repay. She worked with my Gabe, until she felt that he was ready to embark on our new adventure together.  I flew out to Kansas and our training with each other, began. We have been inseparable ever since.

You can, I’m sure, understand that I want him to be not only physically in the best shape, but for him to remain mentally alert for years and years to come. Cue: Purina® Pro Plan® BRIGHT MIND!

We recently headed out to our local PetSmart to purchase a 30 lb. bag of Large Breed Purina Pro Plan BRIGHT MIND dog food. It was so easy to find.  Right in the Purina Pro Plan aisle, in the section (bright yellow signage) marked BRIGHT MIND.

When I learned that this new Purina Pro Plan line contains botanical oils that have been shown to help dogs who are 7 years old and older, to improve their mental acuity and alertness, with results in as little as 30 days, I knew that I had to give it a try. Since dogs become senior citizens when they reach 7,  this is the optimum age to begin feeding my boy  the BRIGHT MIND food. Gabe weighs in at about 85lbs. so the dry Large Breed Formula is the best fit for him, but BRIGHT MIND also comes in other varieties, for your senior dogs, needs.

We began by using the BRIGHT MIND dry dog food as treats throughout the day.  After a few days, we began replacing some of his old food, with the new food.  Each week we replaced a larger percentage, until he was only eating the BRIGHT MIND. He has done very well on the new food…and I’m so pleased with the results.

Our time together has been amazing.  Gabe has brought so much independence and safety into my life.  I don’t even want to think about the future without his aid and companionship.  It is so comforting to know that Purina has made it possible to help improve the latter years of his life, with this new formula of dog food that contains quality ingredients for both a healthy body and health mind. I trust the Purina brand and the specialists that develop and research their Pro Plan formulas, and so does my Veterinarian.  She has been an instrumental part in Gabe’s health care regime, and has encouraged us in our choice of switching to the new BRIGHT MIND Adult 7+ formula.
