KNOW What You're Eating

When you’re a carboholic, going on a low carb “diet” can be really difficult. It’s as if your world is turned upside down.  You’re in a foreign country and you don’t speak the language.  After getting over the delight of being able to eat bacon willy nilly, I began to crave (probably more mentally than physically)bread…rice, pasta and potatoes. I truly started to feel depressed.  Thankfully, I had the opportunity to work with KNOW Better Foods.

KNOW What You're Eating

I was sent a big box of items to try.  They arrived – each packaged in a thick  mil bags…many of which I was instructed to store in the freezer. Reluctantly, I took out one of the Double Chocolate Better Cookies and, I think it was the bag of Better Thins.

KNOW What You're Eating
Just 4 net carbs per cookie. Made with Almonds, Coconut, Flaxseed, Chia Seeds and Egg Whites

As I unwrapped the cookie, I braced myself for what, I was sure, would be a very dry and  probably tasteless excuse for a dessert.  WHOA – was I ever surprised.  The cookie was moist and flavorful.  No, nothing like the overly sweet gooey chocolate chips cookies that I was used too, but it was truly delicious.  And HUGE.  With a glass of ice cold coconut milk it was almost a meal.

KNOW What You're EatingThe coconut shines  through and adds to the “chewiness” of the cookie. Next on the menu, Better Thins.  These were so good.  Super crunchy and perfect for having with crackers and for thick dips. The Chocolate Marshmallows are awesome as were the Better Bars – a perfect replacement for a traditional granola bar.  I’m truly looking forward to trying the Better Crepes, Croutons and Stuffing.

  • Moist and flavorful are not what I usually associate with foods like this! So I’m glad that these are! My husband has a gluten allergy so this brand is surely one to check out.

  • This sounds a lot like Whole30. Of course, it’s important for our bodies to have carbs, but the right kind – I know I am a BIG carb fan – same – rice, bread and pasta. YUM. But when I cut these things out, I feel SOOOO much better and I wake up feeling better, not so “foggy”. Will have to check out KNOW – thanks for the review!

  • It’s so important to know exactly what’s in your food. It’s a shame more people just don’t seem to care. Sounds like these Know products are worth checking out. I’ve never heard of them before.

  • Natural foods are better since these are safe without artificial ingredients. It’s great that more and more people are becoming more conscious of what they put in and on their bodies. I love trying to bake pastries and I’m only starting to learn now.
