Tips For a More Magical Everyday Life in the New Year

With a New Year upon us again, many people are already doing their best to put their New Year’s Resolutions into practice, and to ensure that they manage to improve their everyday lives in one way or another.

For some people, the New Year may be the perfect opportunity to finally comb through real estate websites and to purchase a property. For others, this season marks the time when they will finally sign up to a fitness class that they have been eyeing up for a while.

One thing that underlies a lot of New Year’s resolutions and aspirations, though, is a straightforward desire to live a more magical everyday life as a whole – one that seems more interesting, exciting, and meaningful.

Here are just a few tips for leading a more magical everyday life in the New Year.

Take steps to begin listening to your intuitive side more

All of us have at least two different sides to ourselves – the more logical, rational, and calculating part, on the one hand, and the more intuitive part on the other hand.

In today’s world, in particular, we tend to place a very high degree of emphasis on the logical side – but, as many insightful people have noticed and commented on throughout the ages, it’s the intuitive side that really connects to the deepest levels of our human experience.

When you love someone, for example, you love them because of something that you feel on a deep level that you can’t really put into words. Not because you’ve made a well reasoned and logical decision to love them.

Taking steps to begin listening to your intuitive side – whether it directs you to consider a career change, or to book a vacation that you’ve been considering for a while – may prove essential for anyone who wants to enjoy a more magical experience of everyday life.

Work on at least one hobby or project at any given time that you find engaging and exciting

If there’s at least one hobby or project that you’re working on at any given time, that motivates you to get out of bed in the morning, this will naturally tend to make your experience of everyday life more energized, magical, and enthusiastic.

Of course, hobbies tend to be more engaging and rewarding over time. So consider setting yourself a new hobby or project to work on, and then commit to sticking with it for a prolonged period of time – such as for the entire year.

Make a point of being more proactive and outgoing

The Jim Carrey movie “Yes Man” is based on an autobiographical book of the same name, and describes one man’s life-changing experience of “saying yes more” in everyday life.

Along the way, he finds a romantic partner, acquires new hobbies, collects memorable experiences, develops a deeper sense of spiritual connection, and more.

Remembering that the magic of life unfolds when we take action and meet life head-on is very important.

Deciding to meet the New Year with a more proactive and outgoing temperament can be life-changing.
